Yes. Into Place Therapy adheres to professional ethics & the law when it comes to protecting your personal information. I utilize platforms that are compliant with the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) to store information & deliver services. Encryption measures & a virtual private network (VPN) are additional precautions taken for enhanced security. Information shared during therapy sessions is confidential, with few exceptions. At your initial intake, you can expect to learn more about confidentiality & its legal limits as it pertains to our work together.
You have full autonomy over how regularly you want to attend therapy & for how long. Most clients attend therapy once a week or every other week. How long therapy lasts depends on your needs, progress & goals. I am here to support you in finding what works best for you.
I work with individuals aged 16 years & older. Although I have experience working with children & younger adolescents, I have found telehealth is not as effective as in-person therapy for this age group. However, I am happy to provide referrals for providers who do work with younger people.
Group therapy is a structured, skills-based mental health treatment facilitated by a licensed mental health professional. Support groups tend to be less structured, with more open discussion & do not need to be led by a licensed mental health professional. In short, group therapy aims to facilitate change while support groups aim to provide solidarity. Both group therapy & support groups bring together people with shared experiences & offer opportunities to learn coping strategies.
Effective January 1, 2022 and according to the No Surprises Act Policy, healthcare providers must be transparent about the expected cost of a service for individuals seeking and receiving care who are uninsured or aren’t planning on submitting a claim to their insurance. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate showing how much your non-emergency healthcare needs will cost based on the information known at the time the estimate was created.
All major credit cards & health savings accounts can be used to make payments.
